Chab Mami goes to jail
Chab Mami, whose real name is Muhammad Khayfat, is convicted of forcing his girlfriend, a French newspaper photographer, to have an abortion and gets 5 years in prison. He wll be held in a Paris prison.
He claims he wanted to apologize to the victim and said he was solely responsible for the crime, but put blame on his manager saying that he convinced him to do so.
In 2005, he was also convicted of being violent to her. She said that she was anesthetized and forced to receive an abortion by two woman and a man. However, the abortion did not go as planned despite the violent attempt, she gave birth to a baby girl who is now 3.
